Great Refrigerator poor support

I am very satisfied with the unit however it took me several calls for support to find out about the ice maker in the freezer. Finally I was able to talk to a Best Buy service tech who assisted. The other issues I had were to connect to WiFi. I purchased the Thin Q Microwave and Dishwasher all of which including the Refrigerator were very difficult to connect. Again it took several calls to find someone that was able to explain the process. Once everything was connected they are all working great. I am hoping they last as long as my previous appliances.

Purchased this refrigerator in Feb 2023 to replaced a side-by-side counter depth. I cant believe how much more room this has even as a counter depth. Having two doors for storage is great. I love the deli drawer even though the two smaller drawers that I use for produce and fruits are not quite big enough since we do use alot of veggies each week. We do purchase our groceries each week since there is only the two of us so this has plenty of storage for our use. Love the lower freezer with three shelves. My only complaint would be is I wish all freezer shelves work independently. One shelve moves with the large lower storage area. I would prefer to pull them out separately as needed.

Very good except for the craft ice maker

We are very happy with our LG counter depth refrigerator. It keeps our foods at the right temperature is well lit and makes ice well. However the craft ice maker was designed wrong and we have had a lot of difficulty with it. We have had 5 replacements installed. LG keeps improving this ice maker. We will see if works this time. Our LG technician has been incredibly amazing. He makes the process so much easier.

We bought this refrigerator.about a month ago. Realy like most everything about it. The craft ice is interesting and will get a work out this summer. The only feature we have not warmed up to is the fact that both doors must be opened to access the lower refrigerator drawer. Would have liked it better if drawer was split so that a drawer could be accessed with only one door open. Of course the trade off would be less overall drawer space. Counter depth works great for our kitchen.

WE got the counter depth fridge to save space between fridge and island- we were worried about cubic foot space- but having french style makes better use of space. We love the craft ice maker Have found the door not shut reminder helpful. Only problem so far is that during delivery - delivery people cracked our fridge line and we had water in basement and had to get repairs done. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

This is a very nice spacious counter depth refrigerator. It performs as expected. Hopefully it will perform as expected for 12+ years without issue. That is my expectation for a quality product from a quality manufacturer. Pluses: good storage in the refrigerator portion. Lots of door storage to be used as you please. We have lots of sauces and condiments so we use the door storage for that. There are two slim shelves on the bottom inside of the doors which are great for loose packets or sticks of butter. The adjustable shelf on the right is great for storing tall items below. This is where we keep milk tea and other tall items. The deli drawer is nice and holds quite a lot we wish that it was accessible in some cleverly engineered manner with only one door open. That would be a real plus The veggie/produce drawers are ok. They dont hold a lot. Freezer storage is decent. I had a counter depth side by side previously and I like the bottom storage better. It is performing as expected. The compressor and motor are quiet. This is really a big improvement compared to my previous unit. Cons: the finish is attractive and seems to be finger print resistant BUT be prepared to treat the finish with kid gloves The finish is thin. This is a decorative finish and not durable. This finish is not what made stainless steel the work horse of the kitchen. If you have kids be prepared to have scratches dings and dents. We have three adults in the house and are extremely careful and have issues. Do not ever push the freezer door closed with a knee or foot I think it would be a problem. Use the handle. Overall I think protecting and maintaining the finish will be difficult. The craft ice maker is a neat feature but the spheres have a concave disc on the bottom. They are not fully formed. This significantly reduces the cool factor of the feature. The ice maker makes small cubes and not a lot of them. Our previous freezer made a lot of ice which was convenient for filling a small cooler or hosting company. Also the latch to access the ice is made of plastic and plastic parts are always a risk for cracking. Lets see a couple other small irritants: the door ajar bell comes on pretty quick. Id prefer it come on after two minutes or more I might be able to change this though I just havent looked into it. There is a rattle when the doors shut from the items stored on the door shelves this just bothers me but is not an inherent problem with the design. Overall I am happy with my purchase. I only gave four stars because I think the finish will be hard to protect and the refrigerator needs to be a workhorse in a family kitchen as well as a handsome addition to a fab kitchen.

So far so good. Seems to be a solidly built unit. The shelving seem logical and adjustable to our needs. The placement of the handle for the deli and crisper drawers is on the bottom which seems odd. The ice maker is slow but makes lovely spheres. My calibrated thermometer indicates that the temperature settings on the door are one or two degrees higher than true.

So happy with our refrigerator. Delivery by polite and timely personnel. Setup was great. We had ONE problem.... It isnt LGs fault. Home Depot recommended a water supply line which I included in the purchase. The water had a foul plastic taste to it. After calling LG wonderful support line The advised me to purchase a service line made of PEX tubing. That changed everything. Water and Ice now taste great. PLEASE INFORM ALL STORES SELLING YOUR PRODUCT THAT WATER SUPPLY LINES MUST HAVE PEX TUBING WHERE WATER COMES IN CONTACT WITHIIN THE WATER LINE..... YOURE SUPPORT DEPARTMENT STATES THEY GET MANY COMPLAINTS LIKE MINE....

Own this refrigerator for 8 months keeps displaying error codes and stops making ice drips water water on the floor from ice maker customer service told me to empty the refrigerator and turn it off for 8 hours with doors open very inconvenient and keeps happening

Regret my decision

I bought this back in September 2022. Had to get the repair guy to come out in February 2023 to fix the ice maker because it made hammer the wall like sounds and didnt produce ice. The stainless steel material was a magnet for fingerprints and the slightest smudges which caused me to constantly wipe down the fridge. Ended up tying pieces of clothes to the handle for quick removal of prints every time one opens the door. Last but not least the temperature in he fridge fluctuates so we end up putting in a thermostat so that we can capture the fridge temp in case we need to call the repair guy again.

I am very pleased with the purchase of my LG refrigerator. Freezer in stainless steel. The only problem is the handle on the bottom Freezer door has a dent in the top center of the handle. They brought a replacement handle and it had a dent in same spot. I am now waiting for another handle and hoping that this one will be perfect.. Im hoping that all of them are not like that because this is a beautiful refrigerator and I see that dent every time I open the door to the freezer or walk by it. It is good quality and I also have an LG dishwasher and an LG washer/dryer as well. All products are very very good.

Great Refrigerator

My wife and I purchased this new LG after our long-running previous LG ran finally gave up. We shopped around checked with consumer rating services and decided on this model. Weve had it for several weeks now and are really pleased with our new refrigerator. Its a bit smaller than our previous model but the design seems more efficient so we dont notice any loss of storage capacity - neither in the refrigerator portion nor in the freezer section. The in-door water and ice dispenser is very useful. The craft Ice balls are a very welcome feature. Thank you

Refrigerator as a whole works great.

Everything works except the craft ice maker which failed after 3 months. LG detected the issue and called to let me know which is great. Took two weeks for them to find a tech to come out tech has yet to call. 3+ weeks later and craft ice maker still has not even been diagnosed let alone fixed.

Fan Failure in 18 months

The frig is a nice size and interior nice

The frig is decent. The problems are that the ice maker for the door jambs regularly. The other issue is parts are plastic and the door closer already broke. A cheap plastic piece that takes the tension when the door shuts. I dont understand why they make it so cheap.

A Nice Design

Weve had the refrigerator a little more than a year. Overall its a good product. The issue weve had is the craft ice maker. Its stopped working numerous times. LG has taken care of it each by replacing it free of charge but its just the hassle of dealing with it over and over. This last time I was told that they came up with a redesigned ice maker which they are hoping fixes the issue. Fingers crossed it works. Other than that we love the refrigerator. If I had to purchase another refrigerator I would buy the same refrigerator but not with the craft ice maker.

The good: The use of space interior lighting and organization is great in the fridge and freezer. The fridge is the quietest we have ever owned - not even a noticeable low hum. Looks very sharp. Makes great craft ice usually which lasts longer than you typical ice. The bad: The finish is hard to keep clean - especially the handles. One of our doors has developed a dent in it - not even sure how it happened so some question about the durability. The really bad: The craft ice maker has failed twice averaging about 8 months. The first time it stopped ejecting the ice and made a frozen mess in the tray. The second time it just stopped producing ice. Seems like the product needs more engineering to be a feature robust enough for a durable good. The redeeming quality: LG customer service has been great about replacing the craft ice maker at no cost.

From side by side to french door learning curve

We replaced a 21 year old frigadare side by side with the upscale LG french door frig. just 17 days ago. It took me a week to decide I needed to rearrange the shelves to better suit our needs and am still reorganizing food placement some. I like having the crispers and deli drawer up where I can see them and the lighting is good. The door shelves are packed and sometimes awkward for getting things but so were the deeper shelves on the old frig. I was surprised about the craft Ice and would have preferred regular ice that could move to the door ice maker if it was running low. Over all we like it so far and only time will tell about reliability. I see no value in wifi connection to an appliance and would prefer one without this feature as I dislike paying for something I wont use. Unfortunately its not optional.

Metal so flimsy dent easily

First LG product I have owned. While I like it I wont buy another. In less than six months I have five dents on on the right door. My wife used her elbow to shut the door and it created a dent. Closer inspection the metal is very thin and flimsy even compared to the left door. I called LG warranty and they were horrible. The rep basically said not a warrant issue and then sent a repair at my cost link and ended the chat without addressing my chat comments or even saying goodbye. Very unprofessional. I think there are better companies for the money.

Very happy with our new fridge

We bought this fridge in the summer of 2021 so weve had time to get ALL of the tape out of it and use it regularly. My only complaint is that the left door with the flap doesnt always click into place so we end up opening the right side then the left side so the flap can stay open at all times. Hopefully that makes sense. Were very happy with the fridge though. It has tons of space and I am absolutely in love with the big round ice cubes

Craft Ice-Maker Broke after 8 months

Purchased this refrigerator 8 month ago the craft ice-maker malfunctioned and would leak water in to the freezer. We followed all the online troubleshooting guides but nothing corrected the issues. Called the manufacturer for warranty support they wanted us to repeat all the troubleshooting step they sent us to service centers who will not provide service to our area. We are back to square one.

Great refrigerator...but

Youd never know this was a counter-depth refrigerator from its spacious interior. Its brilliantly designed and looks great too. The craft ice maker is fun The inside is very well laid out so youll enjoy the spaciousness of a full depth refrigerator. On the negative side this refrigerators left door broke almost immediately and we had to wait over a month for the repair. This had added to our electric bill and convenience. Now the craft ice maker is broken. Come on LG. Great design is a big big plus but two major repairs on a brand new refrigerator tells me you have a huge QC issue. And the repairman is here right now with a new door and its already not working. Nor is the ice maker. Its a shame because the design is superb.
